We’re an independent venue, situated in Sheffield’s famous steel making quarter, Kelham Island. When opening in 2019, we were driven to create a beautiful space that we would want to spend time in and combine it with our passion for amazing food and drinks.

THE HISTORY.
Saw Grinders Union is based in one of Sheffield’s oldest Grade II listed buildings ‘Globe Works’. The venue’s name is closely connected to the history of Sheffield’s steel industry.
THE DESIGN & BUILD.
It all begins with an idea. To bring the venue to life it needed to be designed and restored. We have documented the restoration that took place over a six month period for you to enjoy.
